The tramway T3 extension has two major goals…
- Improving urban mobility
- Restructuring and upgrading the quality of life for commuters
…illustrated by five guidelines to progress:
- Answering the increasing need for above ground transport around the city
- Improving the public transport network
- Improving local service in east Paris and strengthening links with adjacent cities
- Improving pedestrian accessibility to urban transport
- Redeveloping urban landscape and redistributing space
The T3 extension attempts to reach the same goals as its first part in the South of Paris : improving the quality of life for Parisians and being a real "urban link" between Paris and adjacent cities.
- More connections with existing public transport networks
- More links with the suburbs
- Beautifying tramway districts
- Improving usability
